[Poetry] SUSHI

She was the only one who
Understood why it was my favorite food.
She alone knew the role the little rolls played,
How they healed me and convinced me to stay.
If only you cared the same way.

Went Acrostic for Day 6 of NaPoWriMo. Prompt was food, and now if you’ll excuse me, there’s a sushi and sashimi plate calling my name.

    1. I do love sushi! Haha, if you’re up for it, definitely give the other versions a try. I mentioned this to another blogger somewhere up there in the comments, but if its the raw fish that you’re concerned about, maybe try a “western” roll (california or boston rolls), or go for a roll with familiar ingredients like avocado cucumber or shrimp tempura (which is just fried shrimp)

        1. If I may suggest, if it’s the raw fish that’s scaring you off, try a “western” style sushi roll like California rolls or Philadelphia rolls, or try something with familiar ingredients such as avocado cucumber rolls. See if those taste good to you 🙂
