“So…did the victim duct tape her door before or after she was murdered?” Agent David Rossi asked, amused at the sight of duct tape covering the hole in the shattered glass door.
“Ugh, Rossi, bad joke,” said Agent Emily Prentiss, shaking her head.
“You’re right, but it’s not like the unsub took time to duct tape the door after committing murder,” said Rossi, as another colleague entered the room. “Find anything?”
“Can’t see the unsub’s face on surveillance footage, but we can see him spending 4 minutes and 13 seconds duct-taping the door before fleeing,” said Agent Derek Morgan.
“Unbelievable.”

Dear Jade,
Clever fan fic. I have a soft spot in my heart for it since fan fic is what started me on the writing path. 😉 Well done.

Thank you Rochelle! I too have a soft spot for fanfiction as that is what started my fiction-writing path as well (and as you can see, I haven’t ventured off the fanfiction path yet!)

A tidy criminal? Oh my. Years ago, we were robbed when living in Indonesia. The thief took our two burner stove that was hooked up to gas but made sure they turned off the gas and even blocked the plastic tube in case. They folded laundry I assume they knocked over coming over the wall. Creative story. =)

Oh no! I’m sorry to hear you were robbed! At least the thieves only took the burner stoves? And were courteous enough to turn off the gas 😂.
Glad you liked the story. Thank you for reading and commenting, Brenda!

Murder is one thing, but leaving a messy hole in the door – can’t have that!
