Rain—pitter patter—
On my window soothes my soul,
Thunder—boom ba boom—
Returning what the world stole,
In the storm clouds of his eyes.

thanks for reintroducing me to the tanka: it’s a form I haven’t used in a long time; you’ve inspired me to try it again. I like the use of rhyme

Well-written. This spells more like nostalgia for me as I’m living in a desert. Nice photo, too.

Thank you Lila! As someone who loves the cold and snow, I can’t imagine living in a desert…

Ah. I know what you mean. We have extreme weather here (minus the snow during winter, although, we do have the occasional hailstorms). I’m in Kuwait, by the way. 😀

Wow, Kuwait! Not a place I’ve ever been personally. It’s wonderful to meet you Lila 😀
