[Supernatural Fanfic] Research On The Road

Dean Winchester cruised down the empty highway in his black 1967 Chevy Impala, the notes of Led Zeppelin blasting from the car radio.

“Can you turn that down a bit?” His brother Sam asked from the passenger seat beside him, a laptop in his lap and a leather-bound book whose pages were yellowed with age propped on the dashboard.

“Nope.”

“Dean, I’m trying to do research here! We need to figure out what we’re dealing with before we go barging into town.”

“Chill, dude. We got silver bullets for the werewolves, devil’s trap bullets for the demons, and extra sharp machetes for the vampires.”

“And what if it’s a shapeshifter or a ghost or a—”

“Shut up Sam, this is my favorite part!” Dean punched Sam on the arm to quiet him before belting out the lyrics. “Ramble on…and now’s the time, the time is now to sing my song!”

Rolling his eyes, Sam flipped a page in the book and continued his research.
