“Hugo Granger-Weasley, you march straight to your room! You are grounded until I say otherwise!” Hermione Granger pointed a finger up the stairs as her son trudged up each step.
“Oi, what’s the commotion?” Ron Weasley popped his head out from the kitchen, taking a bite of his freshly-made tuna sandwich.
“Your son—” Hermione swung around and jabbed her finger in her husband’s direction instead. “And your nephew, Fred II, thought it would be hilarious to bewitch a car and make it fly! Only the spell’s backfired and sent the car God-knows-where—are you laughing? Ronald!” Continue reading “[Harry Potter Fanfic] Like Fathers, Like Sons”
Spencer’s hand knocked against mine, again, as we strolled down the glittering street.
“Did you know, in the colonial era, streetlights were lit by candles inside glass vessels? Can you imagine what the colonials would think if they saw the streetlights today?” He pointed above to the row of fluorescent angels that adorned the path. The chalice lay toppled on the shelf, its contents dripping onto the desecrated crime scene. Crumpled in a heap below was the unsub, the white frothing at his mouth a stark contrast to the crimson pool in which he lay.
Floating in a perfect circle around him were the bones of his latest victim, bobbing in and out of the blood like rotten apples.
Agent Derek Morgan looked at the crime scene in disgust. “We should’ve gotten here quicker.” Continue reading “[Criminal Minds Fanfic] Inevitable”

“A demon and a cupid walk into a motel.”
“Sounds like the beginning of a bad joke,” Dean Winchester said, rather calmly considering he was tied to a chair.
The woman in front of him responded with a sweet smile and continued her story. “To anyone watching, they’re the perfect strangers. The demon carries a personally made bullet. The cupid carries a gun.” Continue reading “[Supernatural Fanfic] Brokenhearted…Literally (Part 2)”
“Victim’s name was Smith Dargan. Convicted of assault and released last week on parole.” Sam Winchester read from the report the New York Police Department handed to two FBI agents, or so the department thought were the identities of the Winchesters.
“Dude was a criminal. Doesn’t mean it’s our kind of case,” Dean Winchester said between bites of his meat-lover’s sandwich. He eyed his brother’s garden salad with distaste. “You eat like a rabbit.” Continue reading “[Supernatural Fanfic] Brokenhearted…Literally (Part 1)”
The red and gold leaves crinkled under her talons. Red and gold…that made her think of Gryffindor, which made her think of Harry. Where was he?
Her wings were sore and her claws ached. Ever since the flash of green light separated her from him, she’d been searching all over for her Harry. Surely, he was looking for her too? Why hadn’t he found her yet?
“There you are.”
Her amber eyes swiveled to meet a pair of hazel ones. Harry! Well, it was about time. Continue reading “[Harry Potter Fanfic] There You Are”
“We’re going to lose our heads for this,” the cloaked wizard whispered to his companion as the two sneaked through the Forbidden Forest behind Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
“Do lighten up, Nick, it’s just a harmless prank.”
“Stealing the school coat of arms is not what I would call a harmless prank!” Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington hissed back, momentarily dropping the Hogwarts emblem he was levitating in midair.
“Oy, careful with that! It’s a priceless artifact!” Continue reading “[Harry Potter Fanfic] How Nearly Headless Nick Really Died (Part 2)”
Orbs of light flew from the street lamps that dotted the park into the silver device in Ron Weasley’s hand.
Ron returned the light to one lone lamp directly above him and his two children, creating an eerie glow around them that extended into pitch black.
“Handy things, these deluminators.” Ron shook the silver device as his young daughter, Rose, rolled her eyes. Continue reading “[Harry Potter Fanfic] How Nearly Headless Nick Really Died”
“I’ll never understand how you chose Brainy Baby Boy Spencer Reid over Hunky Dark Chocolate Derek Morgan.” My sister shook her head as she removed the curlers from my hair.
“Way to objectify, Lyds.”
“I’m just saying,” Lydia continued, running a hand of hair gel through the waves that now cascaded down my back. “Morgan is gorgeous. Like Sculpted Adonis Be-Still-My-Heart-And-His-Fitted-Tshirts gorgeous. Reid…he’s more Puppy Dog Cute, if the puppy dog liked sweater vests and messenger bags.” Continue reading “[Criminal Minds Fanfic] My Definition of Gorgeous”
They expected a gruesome sight, but that didn’t prevent their stomachs from churning like they all rode the worst roller-coaster of their lives, the minute Agent Derek Morgan kicked down the suspect’s door.
The smell bombarded their senses, reeking of ripe feces and rotting flesh. Agent Kate Callahan, who was also in the early stages of her pregnancy, bolted to a nearby bush as everything she ate since seemingly the beginning of time, came pouring out. Continue reading “[Criminal Minds Fanfic] Head Count”
He found the copper-tinted astronaut helmet half hidden behind a dusty bookshelf.
The first clue should have been how pristine the helmet looked, reflecting his face with a metallic glint.
The second clue should have been the velvet lining, instead of the authentic ventilation pads, that made wearing the helmet feel like resting his head on a pillow.
The final clue was the shadow, creeping up the neck of the helmet and clawing at his face. His body thudded to the floor. The helmet rolled off, revealing a cleanly eaten skull, and resumed its place propped up behind the bookshelf.

Piper pored over the scrawls on the oddly drawn map. “Ok! I’m pretty sure it’s just past this way.”
“Right. Uh huh. Just past the green hill that looks like every other green hill,” Mary said as her foot sank into a squishy patch of grass. “For the love of Gandalf!”
Piper tsked. “For someone who grew up in these beautiful pastures, you sure don’t appreciate it.”
“Oh, shut up. Just get us to Uncle’s house. Everyone’s already arrived.” Continue reading “[LoTR Fanfic] Lost In The Shire”
“Damn it, Sam, next time we go vamp hunting, we’re bringing one of those to-go detergent pen things. It’s a pain in the ass trying to wash the blood off every time,” Dean Winchester hunched over a sink in a shabby motel bathroom in Boise, Idaho, angrily scrubbing away at a leather jacket.
“I don’t think those pen things work on blood,” Sam Winchester replied. The plaid shirt he wore during the vampire hunt washed easily and was now hanging to dry on the shower railing. “Maybe next time, don’t wear your leather jacket.”
“Maybe next time, don’t wear your leather jacket,” Dean mimicked, flicking soap suds onto Sam’s drying shirt, just as his phone started ringing outside. Continue reading “[Supernatural Fanfic] A Bloody Detour”
