Isn’t it crazy how something as simple
As a pen and ink and paper and words
Can turn reality upside down
And make the silence be heard?

Isn’t it crazy how something as finite
As words and paper and ink and a pen
Can immortalize most anything
And make it last until the end?

[Poetry] Cologne

It’s the scent of pheromones and freshly mown grass –
The day we met on the high school tracks.
It’s the scent of saltwater in the August air –
The day you braided sea shells in my hair.
It’s the scent of tears, acrid and bitter –
The day I watched you walk away with her.

[Flash Fiction] Cupid’s Park

I fell so deeply for you, my love,
For you were my angel, sent from above.

[Poetry] Their Colors

As red as a wildfire, impossible to tame,
Or the curve of her lips when she whispered his name.

As blue as the ocean, calm and composed,
Or her eyes when he confessed he needed her most.

As purple as the amethyst hugging her finger,
On the day they promised each other forever.
