Talent is what they say
you have after the novel
is published and favorably
reviewed. Beforehand what
you have is a tedious
delusion, a hobby like knitting.
Work is what you have done
after the play is produced
and the audience claps.
Before that friends keep asking
when you are planning to go
out and get a job.
A new year means another step closer to embracing my flaws, my dreams, and my inner fangirl obsessions: in short, being brave enough to embrace everything that makes me, me. Thus, it seems apt to update this post to reflect how I’ve grown in the past year and admit the truths I am now brave enough to say.

IT’S ME! JADE!
It’s been more than a year since this blog went on hiatus, and the time away only made me homesick for my cozy corner of WordPress. But I’m returning to my blog now eager to see old friends (are you guys still here?) and to meet new ones (is anyone here?).
If I could have any superpower,
I think I would want to fly,
To zigzag around the clouds,
Like marshmallows in the sky.
With brown wings like some birds,
Or golden like the sun.
